Frequently Asked Questions
Do you see children?
Being the father of four children under the age of 10 I am very sensitive to the dental needs of children. Over the years I have developed a philosophy that younger children, 10 and younger are much better served in a pediatric dentist environment. If you have a young child you are keenly aware of your child’s anxiety, as well as your own anxiety, particularly if your child needs dental work. Additionally, children's dentistry require different materials, anesthetics, and an altogether different set of treatments. All of which are readily available in a Pediatric office. My own children go to one of my pediatric colleagues.
At age 11 the dynamics change. We are working with adult dentition with adult problems. This is also a critical age for orthodontia which is a highlight of my practice. Particularly Fastbraces, but I also do retainers, mouth guards and other services geared toward teenagers. In the 11 and above range we are also dealing with more developed abilities to understand dental work needed and the associated anxieties. We do offer age appropriate anti-anxiety medication, nitrous oxide, and sedation for high anxiety teenagers.
I look forward to your children becoming a part of our dental family. I have now practiced long enough to have patients that started with me as kids and now have their own kids. Wow!!
Is there a way to straighten my smile without metal braces?
Dr. Rogers has done conventional braces for over 20 years. He is now an affiliate of Fastbraces! Fastbraces® is the latest improvements in orthodontia; the results are astounding and done in much less time safely and with less discomfort than traditional braces.
Fastbraces can be done in metal or clear brackets!!
Can you help me improve how my smile looks?
Absolutely our favorite thing to do in our practice!! We get a lot of personal satisfaction from improving your smile. In many cases, aesthetic transformations are life-changing for our patients!! Our job is much more rewarding if we can send you home with a confident, beautiful smile.
Our ability to make beautiful smiles has improved over the last few years too… Some of the tools we have at our disposal are the latest, strongest, and most aesthetic crown and veneer material. We may combine this with implants or even Fastbraces to accomplish our goal of a beautiful, functional smile.
Can I call you if I break a tooth?
Please call us. After 27 years of private practice Dr. Rogers understands how horrible a toothache can be. Or how inconvenient a broken tooth can be.
Our office policy is to get you in that same day. We will normally be able to do something to get you out of pain, temporarily fix an aesthetic problem or do a complete repair that very day.
Do you take my insurance?
Our office is experienced with, and accepts many insurances.
We are happy to work with your insurance and help to explain your benefits. Please call us to see if we accept your plan or can help you select a plan.
Is Rogers Dental Group part of a dental chain?
No we are not! When you come to RDG you will be seeing Dr. Rogers personally. He graduated in 1991 and has been a private practice general dentist for that entire time. He always keeps up with the latest technology and that has taught him to not only be competent but to complete your appointment in a reasonable amount of time.
Many of our patients are coming from the chains because they want a more experienced Doctor, and want to see the same Doctor every time. Dr. Rogers cares about his patient’s well-being and likes to maintain a feeling of family when you come to see him.
